Break the Problem Apart:
IRC Ministries faced a common problem faced by non-profits preparing to level up. As an international organization committed to humanitarian initiatives on the African continent, fundraising initiatives in the United States and Western Europe, and mobilizing young artists in their efforts, IRC is poised to relocate their headquarters from South Africa to the UK in the fall of 2019. They needed a new visual presentation and better brand messaging to face trendy young artists in London and savvy American donors, while not alienating or disrupting their humanitarian partners in Africa. Clean, modern, and trustworthy communication was the goal. The client also wanted to build on their brand icon of the past – an Eagle with whatever new direction emerged in the design process.
Build Strategic Solutions
There are two principals in the organization – a married couple directs it. So we sought to honor the old ‘Eagle’ logo and reference the two directors by pairing complementary feathers in the graphic design. The website would also be clean and highly functional – incorporating donor portals and calendar updates – to put the site on par with other international non-profits. We also provided print/design collateral and office signage recommendations.
Boost the Brand to Gain Momentum
We built the IRC Website and proposed a few more media pieces for their road ahead. This organization has plans to expand and they’ll run their own social media. We were delighted to help push them down the road and we wish them many happy successes in the years to come. We will absolutely look them up when we are next in London.
