Part One (of Three)
Our clients rarely request motion graphics specifically. We have to suggest it – ‘hey, you know – if we’re building this great logo for you – why not put it in motion?!‘ At that point, people’s eyebrows raise, and they say – ‘Uhm, ok sure.‘ They like the sound of it, but most people have a difficult time conceptualizing how much more POP-WOW happens when movement is introduced. Motion graphics are especially helpful when applied to messaging-problems.
Why do motion graphics deliver so much bang? Easy. Our eyes like to see things move.
Simple, right? We are hard-wired to notice anything that breaks a pattern. Biologists insist it originates in our ancestral hunting impulses – Hey, Frank, notice that gazelle moving there in the grass? Joe, do you also see that predator moving toward us across the plain – think we should aim at that?

Designers know this, and marketers exploit our interest in motion. Banner ads perform much better when they include movement. It feels more playful and engaging. That’s why people often exclaim, ‘Oh wow. That is so fun.‘
Now that we sorted all that – here are a sample set of ten motion graphics our MOTION GRAPHICS MARINE (Justin) made this last month.
