Felice House is a painter and art school professor know for her striking portraits. Her acclaimed series Re-Western presents classic characters from American Western films reimagined as females. These portraits invite the viewer to consider how male representations of heroes and leads are ingrained in American culture and confronts a lack of female perspective in many important spheres of life. Her work has been displayed in many shows and galleries, both in the US and abroad. She provides real insight on what it is like to make a living as an artist in the modern age.
